Katrina Darrell - I did not expect her to be good but boy was she. I figured the hot body and bikini was a gag but this girl can sing and Randy and Simon put her strait through but new judge Kara DioGuardi sure seemed to take exception to her and it seemed like she had a problem with her look.
Women can really be bitchy to a hot girl in a bikini and Paula and Kara both got some shots in but I think it was only because they disliked her look. She was really very good at least I thought so.

I will agree that she had a great voice, I myself was not expecting that to come from her.
Strutting the bikini could be a good idea or a bad idea .. She gained a cubillion guy fans, every kid who can get a hard on will be voting for her. Although she probably lost a bunch of fans in the girl area, including; fatties, goody goodies and all the girls that think they are better then everyone else.
This could go either way .. She could make the top 12 or, if she is smart, she will let a produces slap some fake boobies on her, take a lead roll and have her own reality show and become the next whore next door .. I vote for option #2 !!!!
I’m sorry, but she did NOT have a good enough voice to have been put through to Hollywood. The ONLY reason she was put thru was because the male judges couldn’t get past her bikini. They passed on some other voices that were better than “bikini girl” IMO! I’m looking forward to seeing her 15 minutes be OVER!

Seriously, is this what we consider talent now days- a half naked girl at a singing competition ? You wouldn’t be considered for playboy if you didn’t have double d’s nor would you show up to a baseball game wearing hockey equipment so why did a talentless tart in a bathing suit who can’t sing get through to the next round in a SINGING competition? I just find it funny how quickly women hate on a girl like this. Women should be sticking up for this gals right to look good and flaunt it, not bashing her for doing it. She didn’t make a porno or show up in under ware. Go to Miami beach any day in the summer and you will see thousands of people dressed exactly like this.
Her voice wasn’t bad, she can sing and is definitely as good as many others that got put through. She is not the best, she ain’t going to win but the hating by other women good lord but grow up.
I think what many people don’t get about Idol is how many VERY talented people show up, sing 5 seconds for a screener and never get a shot at the judges. We personally know a very talented singer that went to the Dallas auditions and did just that. Sang about 5 words, cut off, thanks but no thanks, next.
AI is NOT a singing competition it is an entertainment and marketing competition for singers. Those are too different worlds, ladies all I ask is judge this girl as she goes forward for how she performs. I bet ya, you won’t see her on AI dressed like that again.
She made a play, it worked and she can sing. She is a ditz I will give you that, but so was Kelly Pickler.
It was inappropriate to show up dressed like that and it was an obvious attempt to use her great body to get votes and that is NOT what the show is about. I think you greatly misunderstand women that ‘hate’ on this kind of thing. It does a diservice to all women (especially the gorgeous ones) that want to be taken seriously and transcend their hot body and great looks when a Bimbo (and that is what she is) shows up and pulls such a stunt. I’m wondering if you would think less of the male judges if a dude showed up using an attempt of a well endowed body to try and impress the females into voting for him…even if his singing was minimally acceptable. Or better yet…if he pulls a schmoozing playa type of charm on the women. It’s manipulation in either event. Maybe some women are jealous of her but I don’t think either of the female judges were and you are foolish to think that. Both are better looking and sing better. They are just sickened by women that bring us all down with this type of display that says a woman should use her sexuality to sell herself. (That is appropriate for porn though.)
I would like to point out that this show is not about singing, yes you must be able to SOMEWHAT hold a note, but singing is not what they are looking for ? WTF you might say, well this show is about finding not one, not two but three or four of the best marketable people. Singing does not sell, marketability sells. When you can understand that then you will understand why the people do what they do.
As far as the “bikini girl” goes .. who cares. I woul dput my next paycheck on that if a fat bitch sang the same song and had the EXACT SAME VOICE, everyone would be like .. aww I hope she gets through and wins.
Ya she probably is retarded, and she probably has nailed everyone in the 90210 area code and she can be a poster child for std advertisements, so what. Let her have her chance. When she gets booted off the show in 4 weeks for stripping on stage then we cn rag on her some more.

First of all Paula has done plenty of crawling and dancing is VERY skimpy outfits. Do you not remember the video where it practically looked like an orgy she did back in the 80s, what was that song, I think it was “Cold Hearted Snake”.
Second as the prior commenter stated the bikini was not anything that is not considered something that can’t be worn in public. Yep Miami beach you will see plenty and down here in Corpus plenty of them on the shore every day.
Third plenty of men have tried to woo Paula to get on the show. One in particular a few seasons back pulled it off and she practically swooned all over him. It wasn’t an act either because when she learned he was married she got all PO’d at him.
Fourth a woman that uses her body to attract attention in the entertainment business is not devaluing the value of women who are intelligent, bright, smart, good at business, what have you. The last comment is correct women should be fighting to protect the right of a hot girl to be hot if that is what she wants to do.
Fifth and last when you said, “it was an obvious attempt to use her great body to get votes and that is NOT what the show is about.” You could not be more wrong if you tried. Contestants on this show are not only judged on their singing they are judged a GREAT deal on their looks and a hot body sells. It sells music and it sells products (consumer, grow up there was nothing pornoish about this gal) and selling music and ads is everything that AI is really about.
OH and before you go jumping me for my opinion as another guy that is just caught up in a good looking gal in a bikini, I am a female myself. It is a shame that women attack other women for stuff like this.
