A mother of three who decided that singing doesn’t have to wait. She ended up loosing her home to a tornado, something we know all to much about in Texas.
She came out and belted out a rendition of “All I Do” by Stevie Wonder and you could see she was moved when Simon said he though she was fantastic and classy. Randy called her a mixture of Fantasia and Mary Jay Blythe. She was quite humbled by all the praise which is always nice instead of the attitude many have.
I have to agree this is another one that is going to do very, very well. She will be in the top 12, I will call that one right now. It was also really cool to see her cheering while her husband spun her around. Like I keep saying it is the background stories (whether you like them or not) that makes American Idol so succesful. When you know a person a bit deeper then just a song you are more vested in their success or failure. I think a lot of America will be fond of Lil.
