matt-breitzkeMatt Breitzke - Matt is a big tough looking guy that is a welder by trade.  I think the judges were very skeptical of him until he starting belting out Ain’t No Sunshine.  Randy said no, Paula and Kara both gave him a yes and Simon agreed with the girls and put him through.

Simon actually said to him at the end, “I think you are really, really good and I like your heart and your ambition”.  I have to agree.  My only concern is this guy makes me think of Sundance Head, can he handle the range of music that Idol contestants are forced in to?

He also though with his attitude and bald head remind me a bit of Chris Daughry (easy girls I don’t think he looks or sounds like Chris) but he loves his wife and kids and they come first, very much like Chris does.  That family man image coupled with a good voice goes a long way toward marketability.

he’s another one that I thought was really good, no didn’t even compare him to chris

I hope people don’t do that, like last year with david Cook ( MY IDOL ) comparing

him & chris I seen nothing in common only that they are both rockers :)

I was hoping chris would of won, but he’s doing great just like I thought he would

    gotta love the guy :)

    Nancy,

I get what you are saying and I agree. I am speaking more about the “marketability” of a person then how they sound or look.

Chris had amazing talent, great look, etc. Yet what sold so many moms and daughters on him was watching him drive a forklift and saying, “I just want to take better care of my wife and step daughters, they mean everything to me” and actually meaning it.

When I look at this guy I see that dedication, that is the comparison I am making. I like rooting for the real good guys, the ones that know a family is more then a career, regardless if it is business, music, etc.

I actually know Matt personally. My sister’s husband is his best friend. I have met him several times and have heard him sing. There doesn’t get any better of a guy than him. He’s a great father and is just a lot of fun to be around (& his little boy, Travis, is quite possibly the cutest kid I’ve ever met.) I’ve heard him sing and his audition just didn’t even do him justice! He is incredible! GO MATT!

I agree, he seems dedicated and just like a good down to earth nice guy. I think he is a great singer and deserves to be in the top 12. I really hope he make a wild card. If he doesn’t, I don’t know if I will watch anymore.
