Stevie Wright from California made it through the first rounds on last nights debut of American Idol (season 8). Stevie got her name from the female rocker in Fleetwood Mac - Stevie Nicks.
Stevie sang Etta James “At Last” and sounded good.
She has a deep husky voice that should be able to pusher her past the Hollywood rounds. However for now we will have to wait and see. New idol judge judge Kara DioGuardi whispered to Paula, “she’s my girl so far”. Simon warned Stevie that she would need to grow some fangs in order to reach the top twelve.
